We welcome as SERCLET's new ambassador Silvia Galán Hernández and to her musical education project at the infantile and pre-natal stages https://vinculomusica.es/
Silvia started in the world of early musical education because she loves children and because she firmly believes in the importance of music from the moment of birth, and even before, in the mother's womb. To offer music as what it is: a rich and varied language.
In 2017 she decided to create this project, become self-employed and direct her professional career - and now also personal as the mother of a 21-month-old baby - to value early childhood and, more specifically, their growth through music.
Her experience as voice facilitator in pregnancy and childbirth and then as a mother, allow her to have a global and complete view of both moments. After experiencing a conscious and empowered pregnancy and birth, she saw the need to share the resource of voice to all pregnant women.
Thanks to the Musica in Culla methodology - based on Edwin Gordon's MLT principles and Beth Bolton's research -, the MaMi Project - training in Prenatal Singing by Elisa Benassi and Marie Louise Aucher's methodology -, the training in the method of Voice in childbirth with Esther Santiago, IGEME, the Orff España Association, to all her research, musical career and experience in the classroom.
She was selected from a large number of participants as ambassador of the Serclet project in the month of July 2023. Having successfully completed the face-to-face training in Menorca, Silvia demonstrated that she has the knowledge, material and skills to be able to implement the Serclet Musical Education project.
Vínculo-Música desde bebé is a project that focuses on the children's stage, with families with children aged 0-8 where it is committed to a space where music is an indispensable vehicle to create a bond and at the stage prenatal, with proposals that use the voice to accompany and care for pregnancy and childbirth.
The family is the object and the fundamental piece of its gear. Its methodological foundation is based on Musica in Culla and Edwin Gordon -infantile stage-, Marie Louise-Aucher and Esther Santiago -prenatal stage- and my own research and experience in the classroom.
The voice is the main instrument. The richness and sound experiences will come from the hand of melodies in different ways, rhythmic recitations with all kinds of metrics and sound recordings of different genres, styles and eras. The learning and knowledge of the musical language is done through the rhythmic and melodic patterns, which function as a metric and tonal synthesis of the recitations and melodies.
The silence will play a fundamental role when it comes to respecting everyone's rhythms, allocating time for the assimilation of those heard and creating spaces of transition in the action in the classroom.
The body movement, which will provide the development of the unique interpretation of each individual, will also enable work on fluidity over precision to consolidate rhythmic awareness and pulse, meter and phrasing and as well as acquire an awareness of structure and development of musical interpretation.
The instruments and objects will function as complements in this process and will be the main resource to consolidate this work.
